I just bought an 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro 5spd...and I'm lov'n it! This realm is all new to me...but I learn fast. So please take it easy on me. I bruise easily...hahaha...

Any do's and don't...helpful mods...will get me going. I'm looking to make it a nice project...so...

I want like to start by lowering the center of gravity, maybe go the coilover route...but I'd like to see what other owners are running.

I'd also like to enhance the cars power...where should I start?...any help would be great! The power is great...just needs more.

Ooh...yeah...one more thing, were can I find a place to get one of the follow kits :Kerscher, Rieger, or an Oettinger body kit. I'd really like to make the car more aggressive looking. Just because I'm a girl, I don't have to look like every other Gucci totting girl driving what daddy bought 'em!

for the body kit you should ask panda he has same car *** you with a nice body kit. Cant really miss his posts you'll see a panada in the middle of his dash for his sig.

I am looking to buy a 2002 A4 1.8 and it the same color Dolphin Gray
Can you tell me what did it cost you and how many miles does it have. I didnt even see the car yet because the dealer said its still getting serviced. But looking at yours now I cant wait!!!
Oh yeah is it a AWD?

 

She(edit) gots AWD it has the QUATTRO badge on the front upper grill and under the 1.8T
he also has the sport package

 

What chip would you be referring to? I've read alittle about performance chips available thru APR...GIAC...Revo...

$495...is that about the ideal price point?

I heard that the timing chains are something we A4 owners need to keep an eye on...I guess I can rule out the gauge moniter to remind me?? I got the car with 40,000 on it...so I guess I'll be keeping tabs on that.

Don't think money, cuz EVERYTHING thins the wallet QUITE a bit. Get a chip , your closest dealer will be the best bet, someone who can help you troubleshoot when things go bad. I'm sorry you had to get an Automatic :P. Just take your time, a chip will make it scoot quite a bit at first, but you get used to it quite quickly. I say , start savin for a turbo kit . Best bang for the buck. Good body kits and suspension will be quite a bit also, just save and find sometin you like .
