Need help... My newly chipped A4 1.8TQ -96 will not start I have tried to put the original chip back in but didn´t work...
When I Vag-Comed my car it don´t find the "engine" module at all how do I solve this???

NEED HELP ASAP!!!

who chipped it? they are responsible,
disconnect the battery and fit the old chip but before you connect the battery turn on all ancillaries ( lights/heated rear window etc etc ) that will drain all other memory from built in systems, connect battery positive first the ground ( that rests the air bags ) and good luck

 

i remember when i disconnected my battery the first time and my lights still worked. confused the hell outta me, till they faded and finally went out

did you get speedtuning? if so i would call them to get that fixed. i would call whatever company chipped your car and tell them whats going on actually.

Engine immobolizer went bad six weeks after i chipped my car....not saying you got the same problem but just throwing it out there

 

Immobilizer wasn't equipped on the A4 until 2002 FYI.

 

It´s InMotion tuning i ordered from Austri and I live in Finland. I sent a mail to the guy and he told me to check the solders and if that didn´t help send the ECU to him.
But the strange thing is that Vag-Com don´t get a connection to the engine module at all... What could cause this??
And reguarding the soldering I had a professional Automotive electronics guy do that so it should be done properly.

I checked the solders and they seemed to be fine...

 

Reguarding immobilizer: I do have a immobilizer of some kind but that might be added with the alarm system. When the car is locked and I try to start it won´t turn over.
But now when I try to start it turns over fine but it sounds like there is no spark or no fuel...

 

It was a bad solder but that did not solve it at first... I had to scrape the contact surfacec a bit and then it wored just fine...
