you also have to think, they rate MPG like highway speed of 55mph, with the AC shut OFF and WINDOWS UP to minimize wind resistance, uhhhh i live in florida, its HOT, I NEVER drive with the ac off, my point is, if i drive with the AC turned off, at 55mph with the windows UP i think ill get closer to 32MPG since i get around 29-30mpg at 70mph with the AC ON!!! that is bullshit, my audi gets as good MPG as a shitbox cobalt or any car with comparable size engine...i know, i used to drive a dodge neon (thats a 2.0L)and it got around 24mpg ave, and it weighed 1000lbs less then the a4 does...last tank i think showed 22mpg avg, but i really really try to be easy on the gas pedal. sorry for the long post but that pisses me off.

and these hybrid cars are all BS anyhow, i used to drive a 1989 Toyota Tercel, it was ugly, slow, and not a very smooth ride, BUT i drove highway non stop from florida to indiana in that car, and i got 47MPG!!! no lie 47 freakin miles PER GALLON, what im saying is, this was in a car from the 80s, no fandangled technology here, for gods sake, it had crank windows and a radio! not even a tape player... and it got MPG like a BS hybrid? if a hybrid got 100mpg i would be impressed, but i am not impressed by something that gets the samegas economy as a car from 1980s...

According to the chart, my car gets:

OLD DATA
21 City
29 Highway
24 Combined

NEW DATA
18 City
26 Highway
21 Combined

According to my own calculations, I routinely average 28-29 mpg w/ 90% highway miles, so I don't see how I should be averaging 21 mpg combined. I might have to import my next Audi from Germany... would be nice to have a TDI A4.
