no click no start
I have a 1999 Audi A4 Quattro and the car started fine then a few hours later would not start and when I turn the key no clicking the it is a lot colder outside now that it was when it was working. I changed the starter and it still will not start or click. I am not sure what else could be wrong. Can you help?
What is the battery voltage?
A good battery will only have on 40% of cranking power when it is 20 degrees outside. Also what is the voltage at terminal 50 of the starter when cranking?
If you answer those 2 questions you will either have or be closer to the correct answer as to why your car does not start. Or you can keep throwing parts at your car in a attempt to find the answer.

So how many volts at battery , at starter terminal 30 (the big wire & terminal 50 (the Small wire)????????????????????????????
It should be a number between 0 & 13 for each.
You are not answering the question , I am trying to help & all your are looking for is a magic Silver Bullet! Without checking the voltages you will be guessing & throwing more parts at your car that you do not need.
Just because something is new does not mean it is good.
NEW= Never Ever Worked!

Amazon.com: voltmeter
I am sure affording one is not a problem. Would be a good investment if you plan on fixing your car yourself.
