Default No one will help... anyone here?

I'm sorry if these are repost's but I searched the first and second pages of the forum in A4 B5 and they weren't there so please just help me out.
1. I bought the greed speed snub mount, went to install it, there is no way in hell that fits in the front mount, the metal square would have a half inch on both sides of the poly mount. So I ordered another one, came as the same thing, still wont fit, any ideas?

2. I would like to invest in a chip for my car 99.5 1.8t Sport, cold weather, 5 speed. As much research I do I always find another chip or reasons why I'm torn between GIAC and APR. There is a apr installer right up the road from me though. Any help on that?

3. I want to lower my car, but I don't want to spend coilover prices. I was thinking about the Koni's with the adjustable perches, but they are almost just as expensive. Looking to spend around 850. Anyone help me out?

4. I through a check light a while back, p0118 was the code it ran, anyone help me with that?

I would apreciate anything you guys can help me out with ... Thank you...

Stu

1 - you can shave the snub to fit into the square.

2 - a chip is all personal preference. I am going GIAC because there is a dealer close by.

Can't help you with 3 or 4.

I find it odd that the snub will not fit. I have installed the greedspeed snub onto a 99.5 1.8t without incident. the snub is supposed to be slightly smaller than the square fitting (ie. not touching it).

Go with the chip dealer that is near you.

If you just want to lower you car without much adjustability, then get grooved Bilstein shocks and a set of springs. If you do want more adustability then you are SOL and will have to pay big dollar.

p0118 = replace your coolant temp sensor. (typically)

it has to flex a little... Your not gunna feel a half inch of movement. If it was seated tightly against all sides of the housing, you would have crazy vibrations like some people have with the APR snub.

yep - exactly. The mount is not supposed to keep the engine tied down completly. It is supposed to allow for some flex, the reason it is made of polyurethane is to provide cushion - otherwise they would simple bolt the engine down right?

CL makes a good point - there is money to be saved by buying used suspension.

And only replace the thermostat if the Coolant temp sensor doesnt do the job.
