Been noticing vibrations and strange noise once im in motion after shifting into reverse. Any ideas?

what kind of noise, try to describe it. Can you tell us the general location?

 

I think I have the same thing if I understand you correctly. I have a 2001 a6 2.7 with the 6 speed and when I shift into reverse and begin to back up I hear something strange. I cant really tell where it comes from but it is distinctly after the clutch has engaged the gear and the car is in motion backwards. It kinda sounds like those little toy cars that you "rev" up on the table a few times and then they zoom away.

I dont have any vibrations other than from a loose tie rod end thats getting replaced in the spring. My guess is its some part of the gearbox connection with the transmission.
