99 1.8T Quattro Tip. I have this creeking noise underneath my dash that sounds when coming to a stop and at extreme low speeds. I have been trying to diagnose this sound for some time now but cannot figure it out. This creeking noise only seems to be apparent when the engine is warmed up (180'). Could this be a bad trans. mount due to the location being right underneath the dashboard? When engine/ trans mounts go bad are they normally tempermental to your engine heat? Meaning would they act up when the actual bushing/ rubber material is warm and more plyable?

 

No one?? Anybody have any suggestions or advice? How would I check toverify a bad transmission mount other than a visual inspection?
