Hey everyone, i've checked the forum but for some reason couldn't find an answer. Here is my question, i've installed a boost gauge in my car and the only time i see actual boost is when i floor it. My question, is this normal? Should i have some amount of boost even when i press the gas and hit it to first gear? Why only when i floor it do i see the PSI go up?

when your on the gas lightly theres not that much exhuast being made so it wont spin the turbo until a certian RMP is reached
but if u slam on the gas the book should kick in at 2500 or so

 

wow, thanks for the quick reply. Yea, if i floor it, normally it takes around 2500-3000rpm....

so i guess that's normal.
