Default Normal crank time

I have a 98 A4 2.8 and I notice that sometime when I go to start it, it might turn over for about 3 to 4 seconds then start fine. If I turn the engine off and go back to it in 30 minutes it will start in about 1 second. I've been reading a lot of posts on this forum to try and diagnose it and have come to the conclusion that it could be the purge valve orcoolant sensor. Would this be a correct assumption?
