hey all...proud owner of brand new 08 A4 avant quattro black/black

First Audi and I LOVE to drive this car! Honestly I already feel like I will have an Audi for the rest of my life!

Now to the bad part...salesman said that the iPod integration would show the Artist name and Song title on the stereo readout....NOT THE CASE!!

I am super pissed off about it!

Couple more questions.

1. Can I put roof rack on a leased car?

2. What does the "mode" button on the steering wheel do? Mine doesn't seem to do anything...

umm....you can definately put a reef rack on the car...when you open the doors you will see where it clips in place....

sux about da ipizzle situation, maybe it has to be programmed, you could prolly bring the car back to da dealer and ask em

mode will probably do one of 3 things (you can eisily find out by checking your owners manual)- it will either adjust your suspension, adjust your transmission (like economy or sport) or it could be like my moms honda accord hybrid, the mode button on her steering wheel changes the radio from (xm1,xm2,CD...etc.)

Congratulations on the purchse. Here are the answers to your questions:

1. The A4 factory iPod interface WILL NOT display the song/artist under any circumstances. It will display like a CD would, track 1, track 2, track 3 and so on. You can play up to 6 playlists which show up as CD1, CD2, CD3, etc.

2. Yes you can put a roof rack on a leased car as long as you don't damage the car. Using an Audi factory roof rack is recommended here.

3. The "mode" button on the steering wheel switches between your cd-player, radio and sat radio (if equipped). The dashed-line button (voice) on the right will control your bluetooth/voice-command system (if equipped).

 

We have the same car. My 08 A4 Avant just came in this past Wednesday (pics to come shortly). I'm upset because I can't plug my NON-IPOD MP3 player into the stero via AUX connector. Anyone know to get a NON-IPOD MP3 player hooked into the factory stereo?
