I bought my car because it was an 01, the year before the b6, the year of the upped power, and the year of the extended warrranty. I was wondering if my power hunger was justified. Does the 20 hp gain from 2000 to 2001 make a noticable difference in driving, or can you just not tell?

I don't think it's that noticeable except at the top end. If you are a short strip launcher with little time at high speed, then you probably wouldn't notice. If you are using an accurate stopwatch, then you might notice. Otherwise, hopping in and out of one car or another won't be very different.

If you're power hungry, consider a chip.

 

umm... extended warranty? to what mileage?

 

I'm pretty sure most drivers would notice 20 extra HP when starting at 150hp.

 

i can vouche for that. i had a 98 and wrecked it in like a month then bought a 01. it was a hudge diff in drivin i thought

 

It was extended to 4 years, same 50K mi.
