OEMHID issues
I was just wondering if anybody else has had problems contacting them before. I've heard their communication is excellent but from my experience it's been a tad subpar. I ordered an H7 kit from them for my B5 a month and a half ago and 3 weeks ago one side went out. At first I thought it was the bulb but after testing it out, I figured out both bulbs were fine and it was a ballast problem. It took about a week and a half for OEM to contact me back and he told me to send him the defective part and he would replace it. I did so and now it's been a week and a half later and I haven't received anything - not even an e-mail. I've tried emailing OEMHID several times but I've gotten no repsonse. It's been three weeks since my headlight went out and I'm still driving around with one HID. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced problems and if so, how did things turn out. Thanks.
So it's been another week and still nothing. I've gotten an email saying my package was being "tracked" but that was 5 or 6 days ago and as far as I know, it doesn't take days to track any package. I even offered to pick up the replacement if possible. To make matters worse, I tried contacting the site with an e-mail concerning a sales inquiry and not surprisingly that got a response. It's been over two weeks now since he received the defective ballast and over a month since the headlight first started malfunctioning and I'm tired of waiting on e-mails. I've only received two of them thus far, neither of which was very satisfactory. So I'd like to take this opportunity to do two things. First of all I'd like to warn people about the warranty issues; I'm not saying everyone's experience would be similar to mine but I'd like to throw it out there as an experience of one customer dealing with OEMHID. Second of all, I'd like to know where I'd be able to obtain a replacement ballast that would work with the kit I already have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
