Also, since I know next to nothing about clutches - suppose sometime in the future I change the clutch to another one (not a stock one), will the clutch catch point change? I'm thinking it should, but I dunno.

 

A higer stage clutch may indeed lower the engage point, although it still remains high compared to other cars. IE the change is not drastic.

 

the fact that I just have to brush the pedel with my foot to disingage the clutch means that I can shift faster. alot faster.

 

i wont lie i dont enjoy the high release point... but mine will be gone soon when i get a new clutch

 

i serliousy was like wtf is rong with this car because i was used to my buddys modded 2.5rs subaru with a blutch that engauges practicly on ther floor but i switch from that to my audi all the time it makes you a better all round driver IMO

 

I recently replaced my clutch with a South Bend Stage 3 clutch and the engagement is now immediate. Very nice. Like my GTI was.
