oil change for 2.8

Default oil change for 2.8

i tried searching though i can not find a DIY for changing the oil on a 2.8l.

Probably no DIY because it is pretty self explanatory. You change it just like the oil on any other car.

Seriously if you have a B5, go to pepboys and buy a Haynes manual for 15 dollars for the Audi

Step 1) remove 17mm drain plug
Step 2) Drain oil
Step 3) Remove filter (right next to the oil pan)
Step 4) Install new filter
Step 5) Put drain plug in and tighten
Step 6) Fill w/ new oil
Step 7) Check for leaks

There's your DIY

Check the level of the oil before you fire the car up... With a new filteryou will put 6qt's of oil into the engine but check it after putting five and a half quarts and go up slowly from there... Give it acouple of minutesto settle to get correct oil level reading...
