Default oil change

i just did my oil today, 5w/40 syntetic. i put just a lil to much in its just a tinch above the A on the dipstick but i should be fine rite. i also found out my skid plate is cracked and ****. wtf is the point of that plastic thing anyways not goin to protect much. my question is there an aluminum one out there that will actually do a better job than that stupid plastic thing?? and would u guys recommend driving with out it or should i leave it on?? Thanks.
