Just look under the coolant resivior where the filter is and see if the filter is tight, shine your flashlight down there and see if they cleaned the oil off the subframe, if they didn't get some brake cleaner and wash it all off and take off your belly pan and clean it because its probably soaked in oil now.

Just make sure the oil level is ok, if the oil drain plug or filter were loose it would be leaking a lot.
You could probably wait until friday

Not worth it, plus the receipt you have is worth its weight in gold if you ever get sludge.

yes, a dipstick is cheap and the foundation of making sure your car has blood....

I try to wipe up as much oil as i can but i still get a few small puddles it seems for the first few days.... it runs down behind the engine and u just cant wipe it all up.. its on a b6 though

My guess would be that since you said there was oil on the filter, they probably left the gasket of the old filter on...if it sticks to the spindle and you dont take it off, you will leak tons of oil. I used to work for jiffy ube and that was a common problem with the morons that worked there. I would take the filter off and make sure there is only one gaske on there. Then i would still call them and raise hell.
