Yes your engine may be damaged beyond repair, but if you read the link i gave you the newengine may be FREE regardless of mileage due to a world wide TSB of the oil pick up tube clogging from sludge.
The dealer will either cover the sludge repair or engine replacement, you just have to show proof of all oil change receipts.

Question: Do I have to provide all oil change history for the car for this? I hope it never happens to me but I know that I'd only have my records plus about the last 2 changes of the previous owner's oil.
