OIL OVERHEATING

RE: OIL OVERHEATING
Now you have pre-mixed coolant? I don't know what to tell ya man, if the oil is going up but not the coolant temp then there is probably something wrong with the gauge or wiring.
The coolant temp usually overheats before the oil so that also inclines me to think that there is an electrical problem here.

RE: OIL OVERHEATING
I wish it was that simple but considering the loss of performance when the gauges are showing hot, and when you open up the bonnet you can smell that the engine is hot too. Looks like a big trouble-shooting bill for us [:@]

RE: OIL OVERHEATING
Normal oil temperature should be slighly below coolant, roughtly 80 degrees.
1. If you are concerned, check the oil level to make sure it is OK
2. Check that both engine fans are working (at least in the US there is a secondary electric fan that runs when the engine is warm and the air conditioning is on).

Oil and coolant overheating
I got Audi a4 2.4 1999 . I been driving nicely suddenly smoke come throught the air car was stop . When I checked coolant whole leak under the seat . Than I find out it has problem in heater I disconnect the heater hoses and run the car it's work . But after I notice it's start overheating and when I stop the car I heared bubbles sound in coolant tank and hoses . I went to radiator shop they told me it's has air in coolant they take air out. But after that oil temperature going up its show the sigh on dashboard . I check the oil it's okay . But car going very hot . temperature going up very quick . What's probelm in it
