I dont know if I ever told anyone, but I ended up buying a 1999 a4 2.8 (i couldnt be happier) and I've been driving it continuously for the past 2 weeks. Anyways, I was driving today and i took a corner fairly hard, and my car beeped at me 3 times, and since I was looking at the road i didnt look down at the center computer screen. But then, later in the day while driving on the freeway, the noise came again - this time I saw a large oil icon flashing. The manual says low oil pressure... It hasnt beeped since but it still worries me...

help?

 

um, have you maybe checked the oil level? if it came on after a hard corner, that would suggest the oil level was low enough that when it sloshed to one side of the pan, it exposed the oil pump pickup tube, causing a drop in oil pressure.

check your friggin oil man!

 

Agree, when is the last time you checked the oil level or changed the oil

 

sounds like sum1 likes to have fun with those right hand turns haha. well i rly think u should be driving the car. u gotta be on top of things with this car or u will hate it and it will hate u. either u have a bad oil pressure sensor ( the black thing on the passenger side of the oil pan. or u need to top it off with sum more oil
