So im at school and i go to start my car. I see under the mileage Service Oil. It blinks for about a minute and goes away. I shut my car off and check my oil. It looks like im low on oil. I just changed my oil about 800 miles ago. I get on my stomach and start peekin around underneath the engine looking for leaks. I dont seem to find any, so i go to the local Mobil and add some Mobil 1 back in. My question is that if i dont have my oil changed by the dealer, is there a set oil change time that the computer tells you? or should i be worried about my engine

yes you have to reset the light

 

yep. but if u were low on oil u need to check for leaks, check the valve covers.
