oil question
one of my friends manages an audi dealership/garage outside of Frankfurt and I asked him about oil changes and inspection cycles he said over here (Germany), it's all incorporated into one inspection/servicing that is audi recommended at every 30,000 km. (approx 18,000 mi.)
On the 2001, there is a "service" display that comes on around every 8,000 mi. The interval depends on how you drive. They do not assume you are using synthetic engine oil. With oils that meet ACEA A3 or A5 you should be able to go 10,000 mi. between changes.
