2000 A4 Turbo Quattro.

I use Mobil-1 Synthetic 0w40 for my regular oil change every 3K. But It's getting very expensive as hell & I went to WallMark I saw those big gallon of oils for cheapter price but they didn't have 0w40. So my question is between the options which one I can safetly switch to for the car. I like 0W-40 because it's strong & good for the car, but too expensive.
Synthetic Mobil-1 (options)
3W-30
5W-30
10W-30
0W-20

 

Personally amsoil, mobil1, and valvoline are the best. Switching from 0w-40 to 5w-30 isn't gonna make a difference.

 

If you have a manual... It says to use 5w30 if 5w40 is not available. Thats what it says in my 2000 1.8t owners manual.

Tiptronic= "Tip" i didnt mean manual as in manual tranny. I mean owners manual.

 

Just run a 5w30 synthetic. Then you're all set. All syn oils have to be similar. No sense in breaking your neck to get the exact bestest on the whole planet.

Unless it's Royal Purple.
