How can you possibly rid your engine of engine sludge without pulling apart the motor to clean it?

once your engine has oil sludge (which is basically oil that is whipped into a creamy sludge substance), youre pretty much stuck with it, unless you want to do a rebuild

Can you run a cleaning agent through it?

yea, but none that will completely rid your engine of oil sludge...and if you have had sludge for a while, it can do a lot of damage to flush it out with a cleaner (it can just mix around the sludge and get it into more places)...if i were to try to deal with some mild sludge, i would probably just give it multiple oil changes a few hundred miles apart..i don't think i would want any cleaning agents in my engine
