I am looking for Audi owners with experience and guidance.

What should I do?

My 2000 A4 has misfired and the timing belt has jumped a couple of teeth caused by an oil sludging problem systemic in these cars. I am looking for Canadians with similar experience and positive results.

Audi USA has agreed to replace and remedy A4 1.T owners from 97 to 04 for engine replacements and repair costs. This action was instigated by a class action law suit in the US that is just ending now (March 11, 2011). Audi has agreed and will comp owners and past owners.

Audi Canada is not agreeing to remedy owners in Canada at this point. There was no class action launched in Canada to my knowledge.

This is the second engine to fail for me. The first in 2007 after 116,000 kms. Cost me $15,000.

This time, I babied the engine, diligent oil changes and care. Still the engine failed. Odd isn't it, this engine has exactly the same mileage, 116,000 kms.

Please, if anyone knows a lawyer, or has had success with audi on this issue please advise.
