yea so when im under boost after it spools down i get an oil smell, not a buring smell, its like if you drained your oil and just took a wiff of the oil.. I have no clue what it is.. im not down any oil, im not smoking and i have no loss of oil or no visible signs of any oil anywhere.. its been like this for the las two days..
what gives..

I am having the same problem. Thought it might be normal so didn't say anything. But sounds like it isn't. YEAH I WANT TO KNOW TO!!!

Oh and I can smell it through my vents. And outside the car. Just thought i would add that in. Is that how yours is to J.B?

I dunno, but i get an oil smell too, but its obvious, it comes from the top of the motor block, the top most seal leaks oil and i need to replace it.

Perhaps a bit of leakage from the valve cover gasket, causing a tiny quantity of oil to drip on the exhaust manifold, causing the oil smell???

That's exactly what happened with mine.

You may want to replace your cabin air filter and spray some lysol into the air inlet with the filter off.

well my valve cover has been leaking since i bought the dam car and this is a new smell.. I would say yes to the dripping on the manifold but its not a burning smell at all it just smells like oil and for me i only get it when i romp on the gas.. i mean i guess it could be from the valve, it smells the same as if you were to open the oil cap and take a wiff..

Leakage from the crankvent system maybe (torn hose, leaking pancake valve, etc.)??? I know on my 2002, there was a recall on the hose circled in red, they were known for splitting. A little bit of blowby oil can get out there if there is a crack in the hose.
