also congrats on the purchase i dont know Jack about turbos so good lucck!

Yeah. The B7's do like 100 at about 3200 RPM in 6th gear. I love driving my A4. Even though it's only 200 hp the turbo really helps. Even at 80, when you downshift to 3rd or 4th you get to 100 real quick. My grandmother has, what I think is a B6, A4 Cabrio. Man that thing is sooo slow.

I can't wait to chip mine! Soon. Any advice on who to go with? I was thinking GIAC, but have done some reading and found that Revo may be the better way to go.

Unless I end up with a new A4 if they find mine to be a lemon. Then I have to break it in all over again..

I wish I could change my name now. I wish I thought of something more creative. Anyway, I'm new to this whole Audi mod thing, and so far I'm really liking it. I can't wait to buy some of these things.

However, I was told by the service manager at my audi dealer that the chips could blow the engine, and if that's the case the car is no longer under warranty. My question is...Don't the cars come with more power, like what you get with a chipped car in the US, in Europe?

a chip wont blow up your engine. my car's been chipped for over 100k and there's a guy on here with a chipped b5 at like 190k. and you should go with APR and get the multi program chip. if u gotta take it in to the dealer for some reason just switch back over to the stock program and the dealer wont even know its chipped.

Read through here and you'll find what additions / upgrades are recommended with each mod so that you gain the most hp out of them and don't blow up something else. like do the dv when youdo a chip/sw and your old dv when break...cause it won't be there to break. try to find postswhere people have already discussed your issue/problem/topic soyoudon't have to start a new post. havefun

APR seems to be the most advanced of ECU upgrades. Hopefully I'll get it within the next couple of months. Once my car stops vibrating at speeds over 45-50 mph. Hopefully I'll get that info tomorrow. I've started the process of contacting a lawyer down here, just in case I have to take the route.

It's at the Audi dealer now. For the third time in about three weeks. They are going through all the components of the car that make it move to see if they can spot the vibration. I went for a test drive with the service manger yesterday and he thought it could be anything from a hub that has some runout, to something being bent in the frame b/c the car was tied down wrong on the way over here.

I'm not sure what is causing it, however I know that it has thrown the balance off of two sets of front tires. The back tires are 100% fine, so the problem is in the front of the car somewhere. I'm awaiting a phone call to let me know what's going on. I'll make a post about it when I hear back from them today.

Any Ideas?

To whomever said that our cars dont ahve forged rods, you are part right.

The pre-2000 A4's that are drive by cable have forged internals which will take higher crank horsepower.

Everything after that into teh B6 and B7 engines are not forged
