I had the dealer look at mine when I took it for the 5000 service. They said they replaced a connection, it worked for about a week then started again. But it is very intermittent. Sometimes it will go for weeks with no problem, then one day it never works, then it is fine again. I will have them look at it again soon.

I suggest that you check the brake switch too. Should be connected down behind at the brake pedal.

 

If that were the case, wouldn't all of the lights be acting up?

my girlfriend just noticed when she was in front of me that.. when my lights are off.. and i apply the brakes.. the front right parking signal lights up.. that explains the headlight failure warning...

i guess i need to take and get the wiring and/or relays checked out..

 

Normally yes. but it's easy to check and eliminate as a possible cause.

 

I know this is kind of an old post, but did you ever get this issue resolved. I am currently having the same issue, so weird. It started happening after a brake light warning light came on. So I changed my brake lights and all of a sudden the same issues you mentioned in this post has been happening. Any resolution?
