This morning, as i was leaving for work, i turned on the radio of my a4. when the headunit screen came on i noticed that there was a horizontal line of lights that was missing. what i mean is that the lower middle part of my screen's lights arent working. is this a major problem or something as simple as a fuse? about how much will it cost? will warranty cover it?

and also i want to get some rims for my car. i have a 02 black 1.8t auto. its an awesome car and im in love with it. i was looking at some euro looking black rims with a chrome lip. i actually went to the audi dealership to check out the factory rims but they were very pricey. i might as well get some aftermarket rims. looking for 19's. let me know if you have any suggestions. price range - hoping to keep it under 4500 or even 4000 with tires if i can but willing to spend all i got for my baby.

and also i want to get the s4 chrome mirrors and also some spoilers. audi asked me for my arm and a leg so im probably gonna look to the aftermarket for this as well.

Had a similar problem but the line was vertical.I have limited knowledge of electronics so i just took out the head unit and shook'd it a little bit and put it back into its slot.it worked [8D]
seems it was just a disconnected fuse

 

i have a light out on my radio as well, mine is on the far left and it goes vertical

 

ehh it happens quite often actually. its normal i guess lol. the line should start working again after a few minutes of driving. at least it does for me. ive had many lines missing on what i like to call up the HUD on our cars..ahha.. ehhh i fly too much. sorry... anyway they are called wheels btw. i think 18-19's would look sweet on a black 1.8 with a tint.

i cant really help you with the chrome mirrors and the other stuff but you can look in the classifieds and also go to AZ and AW and look there. people are always selling ****.

 

LLtek sells S4 lookalike mirrors. I bought mine off Ebay.co.uk or Ebay.de. Can't remember. I got them for around $200.

 

mine hasnt kicked back on and its been 2 years, i guss its out for good. i asked audi about it and they said, we can fix it, just we have to send it to germany so ur car will be w/o a radio for a few weeks. i said screw it and im living with it

 

yes audi's warrenty will cover your radio problem

sorry, i've never encountered your radio problem but if you want some cheaper chrome mirrors ECS tuning sells some good looking chrome mirror covers for around 115.
