So when I was in a hurry the other day, I was reaching to open my back passenger side door (from the inside) in my 1996 a4 before it had finished unlocking. There was some little sound and the I lost tension on the door handle and now it won't open the door. To make matters worse, I have shaved rear door handles and so I can't get to the machanism from the outside. Any ideas? Also, my other rear door is now being finicky and will often not latch closed. I know it's something with the latch; has anybody had a similar problem.

sounds like the solenoids have to be adjusted for the intermittent closing problem. as for the not openng problem, i would open it and take off the door panel and see if anything is bent.
