Opinions of Handling
hello
I would like to know what your opinions of the handling of the A4 quattro is, also comparing it to other cars such as a Impreza WRX
on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being busted civic 10 being something like an EVO or STi
this would help me greatly in my choice of next car, thanks

Honestly.... My ex had a civic.. and yes that was a 1/10. I had an 04 imported STi from Japan for 3 months. ...... I loved it but it was soooooo Ricey. On the handinlg side of it though, it was for sure a 10/10. You could powerslide in the rain or dry (given it enough kickin) and it was still smooth & you felt safe and as in control as you can. The Audi A4 turbo quattro stock 96 mdl (my car now) is great handling, pleasure to drive but it is no-where near the STi. It gets about a 6.5/10 but could easily be bumped to a 9/10 or even a 10/10 with proper suspension, good tyres, larger rims, strutt supports etc etc. But really, what do you want the car for?
i owuld give it a 8 but a 10 is not a Evo or STi i have driven both and a 10 is a ferrari an dporsche (also driven both). And the best is a 12 and taht was when i was racing go-karts. I got 1 of them to 100 mph. Its very good handling but there is better out there. Quattro (u must get it) is amazing and i love it. I used to drive a mustang an dhad a accident b/c of teh crappy handling. This is much better and i have no problem taking turns Left or right at intersections (90 degree turn) at around 50 on a stock sport suspension.
I was involved in a situation where I had to squeeze every ounce of handling performance out of my car for about 3 seconds, with no notice. everything in my car flew from one side of the car to the other, but I managed to maintain control of my car, BARELY, and its possible that the Quattro managed to save my life.
Ok well, I haven't driven a Ferrari so I can't say. I Have driven a Porsche though and the handinlg on that was on par with STi all the way. Can't say i've driven anything newer from Mitsubishi than the EVO 6.5, but the STi has them beat too.
I will stick to my guns and say that a stock Quattro has nothing on STi, but it sure as hell easily could with a little work. Thats why I put it in the middle.

well u still have to remmber a ferrari cost the same as liek 5 Stis. So dont be down. However i beg to differ about a porsche and Sti handling the same. I wonder what porsche u drove was?
