opinions wanted on paint
I haven't ever seen it done that way. I've seen black with blue pearl on a 300Z and it looks amazing. The silver with blue pearl would probably look really good too. What color is the car now? You do realize that to do it right, you really need to strip the car down completely - no interior, no engine, no nothing, to ensure that it is done fully and correctly. Unless you're REALLY good with assembling the A4, or you bailed the paint/body guy out of jail in the past and he owes you big, it's gonna cost a LOT. Just like all the guys talking about an S4 conversion on their A4s, you're probably better off selling your car and buying a silver one if that's what you really want.
my car is already silver. thats why i want to keep it silver. even though there are so many that are different. but i want something that will give mine an edge. so i figured blue pearl would do the trick. sorry i didnt specify that before. im re-painting it "post accident"
Gotcha - makes more sense. Yeah, have them add the blue pearl into the clearcoat when they mix it and it ought to look really nice. You'll have a unique looking silver when looking straight-on at the car, and on the seams and angled parts from your vantage point, you'll see a halo-effect of blue. It's a pretty sweet looking effect, and the blue pearl in the clear will make your silver look different than the rest of us
