lol so i get the resonator and the muffler from magnaflow (parts 10436 and 12158) and the guy at this muffler brake shop was like... um yea this umm doesnt work because it wont clear the undercarriage

ugh... id believe them too, if i didnt already know that ppl are already running this setup
i'm just pissed that i wasted so much time today trying to get this done [:@]

Youre sure other people are using those part #'s?? Arif's car has a magnaflow muffler, not sure what part #, and it hangs a little low in the back.. Dont know what to tell you. Are you fwd or quattro? because that would make a difference. Helps if you put your yr/engine/etc in your sig.

like i know ppl run that muffler (seen it at the zine) and i'm like 90% positive ppl run that resonator (since i found it on a link in some thread about b5 exhaust on the zine as well), so i'm guessing possibly that the problem was that this was a domestic shop that doesnt deal with imports??? maybe? i dunno

Yeah I have a magnaflow res. not really sure of the part number though, its the one the dude at my shop had. as for the muffler can you see if they can put in a universal magnaflow and then have you pick the tip that you want?

FINALLY done, went with 2.25in custom piping from the cat to the magnaflaw resonator and then to the muffler, with a set of stainless tips

pretty good job, not used to the bassiness, but that will come i guess

i noticed a slight smell of like rotten eggs after i parked, perhaps theres a leak somewhere, so ill see if i can get it back in the shop early next week

otherwise, pretty damn happy
