Went to start my car before work today..... it turns over and thats about it. With the lack of independent Audi mechanics in Iowa, I may be forced to take it to the stealership.[:@]

 

check all the fuses ( does the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key??? ) does it have an immobiliser?? is there fuel in it

 

I wish I knew enough to answer your questions (other than the fuel). Basically I turn the key and it does the starter cycle but doesn't kick on. I can't really explain a whole lot more cus I just don't understand how it all works heh.

 

next step is there a spark at the plugs??

 

No idea, i'll have to check that when I get home. Do i Just pull em out and see if it sparks when I turn the ignition?

it does the starter cycle don't confuse this by the starter motor turning what I mean is can you hear the fuel pump cycle without cranking the engine??

 

Ah you mean that whine sound when you put the key forward but don't actually engage the clutch and such?

 

turn ignition key till the dash lights come on but don't crank the engine then listen for the fuel pump to start for a second or so if nothing happens check all fuses

 

I didn't even think to check fuses when the initial problem happened, I'll check that out as well as the sparkplugs when I get home from work tonight.
