Default output problem

I have 2 750 watt alpines with a 1000 watt amp. you woud think that would be enough right? but the problem is when i attach the RCA's to both channels the sound seems to get bogged down. but when i unplug one RCA the one speakerleft on sounds incredible. i know haveing the 1000 watts going to one has a little to do with it.I have the basic, stock deck with and RCA adapater spliced behind it. (i thinklike a total of60 watts or something)could this be due to fact that amp isnt quite strong enouugh for the subs or the signal from the basic deck isnt that strong. do i need new amp, new deck, new something. i need some help please.

if you unplug one of the rca's from the amp this happens ?
that dosent make alot of sense

are the subs bridged ?
if not try that and see if it helps

also what are the rms specs on the amp and subs ?

thats a good point about bridging them but i think your deck has a big part to do with it and your amp is under powered to puch both those subs.

rms power is the reccomended operating power to those speakers for normal use..

id say just get a new head unit and hook it up using the pre amp outputs on it

im partial to alpine, but its really up to you

If the amp is 2 ohm stable, run 'em in parallel instead of series - that effectively doubles the apparent power to each sub.

Are you using it as a one channel or 2 channel amp. If you have it bridged running one channel for both subs the amp only uses one side of the rca wire. If you are running it that way it is in mono mode and has no left or right bias so you would only need one of the 2 rca wires.
