So I got some touch up paint from the dealer but when I applied it it does not seem to match.the tag on the underside of the spare tire cover reads as follows....

I would guess it is Graphite Gray but when I look for a 2008 A4 paint code there is no Graphite Gray.

Can someone please tell me exactly what color I have?????

 

there is no paint code on your list. typical Audi paint codes start with LX, LY or LZ and are 4 characters long. your paint code may also be a two character code, one letter and one number. i'm not seeing that on your list either

for your '08, the grays are Dolphin Gray Metallic and Quartz Gray Mettalic

I looked in the wheel well for the spare tire and saw a tiny part of the sticker, the rest is gone. Is there another location to find the paint code? Maybe the VIN#??

 

the paint code is not tied to the VIN except maybe through the stealership. they may be able to pull up the options list, including the paint code, for your particular car from the VIN

as far as I know, the only place the paint code is recorded is on that sticker in the spare tire well.

you may be able to consult with someone at a body shop? just a thought
