a light application of paint thinner or mineral spirits should do it. The leatherette is fairly robust and it should take a lot of harsh rubbing before any vinyl dye will come off.

I have a tear in my driver seat would rubber cement be the best way to fix it or is there something better? super glue? ugly fake S4 seat covers?
