Default Paint Job?

So guys I went and checked out that Audi I have been talking about for the past couple of days, and it was pretty good, except I noticed a few scrapes and dings and scratches. Just out of curiosity, how much do you think it would run for a new silver-metallic paint job for my Audi?

Yeah, a couple thou at least.
Maybe use this to get the price considerably lowered.
What are they asking for it? 96 w/ 120k, right?

Wow.

Its a 98 with 124k miles.

Is there anywhere I could just get it done like a spot paint job? Because there is only like a couple of nicks due to highway driving on the hood, and there are scarpes on the rear bumper on both sides. So I only need like 3 parts of the car done, couldn't I just do that?

No, you cant "spot paint". Its too hard to match due to fading from the sun and all. usually they do a whole panel at a time.

You can buy some touch up paint, and fix it yourself, it will look better. And a good wax job will help hide it a little.

How much are they asking for the car? its a turbo, right? Does it have quattro?

You can try buffing the scratchs first but paint is something where "you get what you pay for"

The way you are describing the nicks and scratches doesnt sound too bad. Id personally learn to live with it, understanding that it is a 9 year old car with higher miles. Or, do your best to fix it withough paying an arm and a leg with a good buff, touch up, and wax job.

Yeah, 1.8T and quattro, asking 5k for it (originally 6k, and KBB was saying like 7 or somethin)...but my dad suggested a wax job. My cousin once did his own touchup kit on his grand prix and it looked like garbage. But I think for now I am just going to wax it and try my best to fix it. The scrapes aren't that bad, but they are definetly noticeable....hopefully, a wax job can fix it up a little bit. Luckily the car is a lighter color, so it will look much better.
