Default painted lowers question

Has anyone ever had a problem with the lowers flaking or peeling after been painted. I was talking to a guy about doing mine and he told me he could do it but not guarantee it. His reasoning was that all the oil and road grime gets kicked up onto the lower parts. When he paints them he said sometimes the grime that was absorbed into the plastic will seep out causing it to flake.

yes, i've seen it before... but he has to say that so you dont come back to get it redone if something happens... just make sure he does the proper prep for the pieces

As long as the prep is done correctly and extra attention is paid on these problem pieces the chance of peeling or flaking is very low. But however sometimes it does happen. Plastic does have a lot of open pores and can hold dirt / oil and road chemicals.
