Why is my "passenger airbag is off light" always on ?

Does it say that when there is someone sitting in the passenger seat? Or only when there isn't?

The light only goes off whent there is enough weight on the seat to turn it on. Turn the key on and sit in the pass seat. If the light goes off then the system is working fine. If it stays on you either have a problem or you are really light.

 

very common problem/or not( the passenger air bag can be turned off via the key ) used for putting children in the front seat, its not a problem but a safety feature
