While on my way to school to day some kid ran into the back of my car while i was waiting at a red light. he was driving a lifted pickup truck and smashed my trunk up. he also destroyed my back bumper. luckly insurance will pay for it. i was wondering if i could get a carbon fiber trunk and paint it silve, is this possible? should i do it?

 

2 things. i am sorry for that man. I got hit in an intersection thursday, i posted pics. and second you could try and swing getting their insurance to pay for a cf trunk lid but i highly doubt they will say ok unless you can convince them you had one already that was painted. you can paint cf also but it doesn't look right.... find a good body shop and see if you could cover rest of cost for cf lid. a replacement is probably $800 ish and apr makes good cf lids for about $1100 can't complain about that.

sure you can contact APR they have carbon fiber trunk lids for these just tell your insurance company it is a factory trund lid you might need to go to a bodyshop where you know someone that can pull this off i hate all insurance companys and if you can find a way to scam them all the power to you good luck

 

werd to scamming... because of the accident i had last thursday when i got hit in an intersection they hit my back wheel... which means i need an alignment. so what do i do? i buy bilstein sport shocks and h&r race springs. they will be installed at the same time paid for by insurance. take em for all their worth(when it isn't your fault)

 

haha good job as I see it you pay high premimus to drive our cars and as soon as something happens you rates go though the roof again so what is the purpose of paying the high rates to begin with even though we have done nothing wrong

If there are any insurance agents on here please help me out on this i just don't understand unless you actually kill someone it would be cheaper just to drive without it and if you hit someone say it costs u out of pocket $2500 that is still cheaper than your rates are going to increase for the nect 7 years Fu@kin insurance companys

 

seriously... it is cheaper to drive without insurance and get in an accident then it is paying premiums.... goddamn washington state making it mandatory

Do you know will apr paint the trunk lid for me or do i have to find someone? i was going to have the audi collision center fix my car would they install the cf trunk?

 

whats the point of a carbon fiber trunk lid if your going to paint it? i'd say get a stock trunk lid and then get s4 bumpers, and skirts etc with the left over money...
