1600??? What does that mean? Do you have the 1.8t or the 2.8?

 

A basic 1.6 A4 saloon, in need of a performance upgrade, any thoughts ?

 

The 1.6 only has 100BHP. All I would suggest would be to get a performance exhaust and a forced air induction kit. But either of those will still cost about £300.

You really can't expect much power gains though. Maybe get an engine transplant?

Seriously. There can't be much out there for it. You're best bet is to try and stick a 1.8T in thtere or sell it

1.6??? Didn't even know they made them. Why would they?? Dude, dont waste your money on that engine. Save up some cash & get a newer motor & sell that one. if it's only done 33k you should be able to get something for it. BUT if you insist oin doin' it up at all I suppose an exhaust, a chip (if possioble), forced air intake. If you do all that you could possibly out run my ex's vespa. Maybe. :-)

GET A NEW ENGINE. :-)
