Is there something cheap that i can install myself that woulf help my performance.

Depends on what your goals are, and theres nothing "cheap" you can do. Cheapest thing is a $300+ chip.

really vague question. wut car u got? theres a bunch of stuff in the DIY section you should check out. i dont know how mechanically inclined you are but just about anyone can put on an intake or chip. both of which your lookin at $300+. u can find a cheaper intake but i really wouldn't recommend anythin other than carbonio
