i searched for a new car well before i sold my last one(an S13 Silvia), i wanted something comfy and affordable in the long run...dont bash someone because they havent done their homework, well dont bash them yet...anyway, i settled on my 99 A4 with a 2.8 because i wanted something that no one around here has(also it was only 5 grand)

i work for a perfomance tuning shop here and alot of guys get these little turbo sedans(Evo's, SRT-4's, Jetta's) and dont know anything about them...but we tell them what to expect and ask how much they are willing to spend, we also advise them that its going to hurt their warranty and any future support from the dealer...many dont care, they just throw out money and say make it "fast and cool" which makes me wonder why i ever had turbo cars to begin with...oh yeah cause they were fast and cool...if he uses the 'search' function im sure he will find what he needs to know soon

then again, im just a noob

cheers....sean

Depends on where you send it to. 3-5 days usually. If you have a local tuner it will take 20 min.

noob on the forum thats all...didnt say i was a noob to cars

previously owned:
1988 Tunderbird, turbo 2.3 the last POS US made car I owned..RIP
1991 Supra, 7M-GTE and an automatic, simple bolt on equaled 350 plus at the wheels...sold for family car
1990 RX7 T2, good lord, scary fast...RIP
1991 RX7 GTU, good SCCA car - bad seals
1993 240sx, full S13 conversion except RHD, SR20DET, made mad horsies(450 plus at the wheels), sold to a NM drifter

now I have a family car again, minus the family...1999 A4 Quattro 2.8 = comfy ride for a 37 year old dude

/hijack

PAT99: i know you are looking for a car, but get as much information as you can before doing the purchase...its cool to mod a car and make it faster, but murphy's law will kick in eventually, take your time, get to know your ride and how it feels before doing anything to it, then do the small things...but always keep up with maintenance!
