ateurv8 since u seem to know about the P.E.S Supercharger....ive been flipping out because i have herd and seen dyno's showing like 9-30 hp gains! thats total crap! i dont understand it! droping 5 grand for 20 hp!!! i feel like im smokeing crack or something cause theres no way in all of hell in droppin 5g's if im gettin a 25hp gain that will allow me to beat my mother's minivan buy only 4 car lengths! im flusterd in what ive herd about the G2 SC for the 2.8 30v's....and PES SAYS 295!!!

 

whoa... wtf??? where have you seen those dynos??

Everytime I see a dyno for a PES G2 its between 230awhp-250awhp which in return equals out to about 295-300hp. PES's horsepower claim has been proven time and time again to be incredibly legit.

During those dyno's where they only saw 9-30hp increase there HAD TO BE something wrong. I have never seen/heard anything like this.

 

idk man maby im messing up something. awhp is all wheel horse power right? maby i am messing up dyno's ive seen with numbers that the factory gives you...like i have a 98 A4 2.8 and i am rated at 193hp....maby thats at the crank and not the wheels? i dont know...i though 295hp was at the wheels for the PES supercharger and not im seeing things like what you have said (230-250) and its kind of a let down...i dont know maby some one can clear this up for me. when a car is sold...is the factory number rated at the flywheel? or the wheels?

 

factory horsepower is measured from the crank.

 

lol so when people are yellin about how much there turbo charged 1.8T is makin are they talkin bout from the flywheel or the dyno? cause 1.8T'ers are talkin bout like 350-400 hp from there turbos....and 2.8's are only makin 245hp at the wheels. i guess ppl need to specify if its at the wheel dyno or not.[sm=bicker.gif]
