Phone Charger Hardwire

Is hardwiring your cell phone charger possible? Anyone done this or seen a DIY? I can't find anything using the search, just radar detector hardwires. I'd like to do both. Any suggestions?

strip the phone charger wire.. and just wire the damn thing to your cigarette lighter wire.. or anything that is a 12v constant..
