Default Pics and Questions

Hello,
I just put my new wheels/tires on. 19" with Toyo Proxes 4 tires, what do you think? I also have a question about the next mod I want to do. A local shop by me sells a bundle of a fresh air induction system, diverter value, and GIAC chip for $879. They say it will help improve throttle response and reduce turbo lag, which is what I would love to get rid of!!! Two questions... 1. Will that help the turbo lag and 2. I just bought the car a couple months ago. It is a 2003 A4 1.8T CVT with 45K miles and the warranty goes til 105K miles. If I do this mod, what will happen to my warranty coverage? I am hesitant to completely void my warranty!
Thanks

Nice, I'd just go with the chip and a 710N diverter valve. Skip the CIA as the audi intake and OEM filter is supposed to be pretty good.

somewhere on the web some guy did some testing on his Mazda of checking the pressure differential of several high flow filters vs OEM filter vs no filter. There was as I recall something like 0.5% pressure difference between them, not worth anything. Best improvement for air flow is to change the filter when it starts to get clogged.

nice ride. those are flik's right? the DV and the chip should help with the lag. not sure what kind of fresh air induction it is so i don't know if that'll help a lot. warranty will only be voided for that part that you replace and if something goes wrong they have to give you proof that the part you replaced is the reason why it went bad. but 879 sounds like a lot to me. isn't the giac chip like 500 by itself? unless that fresh air induction is a FMIC then i wouldn't do it.

Yeah, they are flik's. I was going for the sportec momo 10 look and those are really close for a lot less $$$. They list the intake by itself for $289, but I think I will take your guys advice and just do the chip and DV. Thanks a lot for the warranty info, I really want to do mods but heard the whole warranty would be voided so that is awesome news!! Thanks again.
