my gt2 had a .60 a/r compressor with machined inlets p&p and different internals than stock. Comparing it to a k-26 was almost identical.

You must have had some crazy tuning. What tuning where you using? Even the k26 has a hard time makine 430 crank let alone wheel, im just surprised i havent heard of this before. I know the specs of most other 1.8t's making over 400whp, what you say has a completly different mod list from the others, and i dont see how any of the k series could make power like that so id def has peaked my curiosity. When did you have that set-up, I know you been around here for a while, but I havent heard you talk about it?

Im pretty sure the k26 has some potential, its pretty big. I know dahlback will tune them and make crazy power. DaveK on here had the k24, and had dahlback tune it, he made 363awhp, so its prolly possible.

Ive never been big on forums let alone brag about what i have. I sold the car before i really got into az and af forums so i had no reason to flaunt a car that i no longer owned. The shop that tuned my car has been in the european scene for years and years mainly specializing in custom setups for m3s and s4s amougst other things they dyno tune and work with alot of stanealone and piggyback systems.

In my current car? Nope. I have enough money and time to really see the potential of the smaller k series its not about making huge power anymore what i want to do is make it look like its stock but crank out as much is it can go. Its a project that i wanted to do for a while now. But i can actually do it. So im going to mess around with a water injection setup, wideband, intercooler spray really gettting down to refining it and seeing what it can do.

I did some research and aparently there are two very different k24's, one from a diesel which has an a/r so small, it runs outta steam around 3k, and the other which is larger, so I guess it may be possible, I just wish I could see some compressor maps or dyno charts! I;d love to see the spool characteristics etc. the only dyno's of k24's and k26's i have found so far have been on 2.0L 8v and they havent been break 250whp

Yeah there rare and hard to find i had alot of good stuff on them but like before i sold it all with my car in a big binder. K24 and 26 setups are expensive its easier for most tuners to go with a gt style turbo from garret its just a better route but. For some tuners its not about getting a huge turbo and slapping it on there with lemiwicks, mika, unitronic, giac, apr or whatever for me it sounds like your questioning if im legit or not i wish i could give you the numbers of it but i honestly dont have them hence the reason i never talk about it much. But all the stuff i had done to it was professionally tuned and dynoed by someone else. I had it done and never touched the programing or bothered with adjusting anything they did there job of tuning it so well i never had problems with it. Ill try to find the phone numbers to the guys i know maybe they will have some of my info on file.
