PLEASE HELP!!
I am the person with the 99.5 Audi A4 with the timing belt issue. To refresh your memory. The water pump went out and so the shop said that since we were replacing it we should also replace the belt. We got the parts and dropped the car off at the shop. They called my husband at work and told him that when they could not start it up and that they pushed it in to the work area. They took pictures of each step while taking to apart. When we got there they kept asking me it made any strange noise or drove different. I told them no.
This is the problem, every professional I talk to says that it is impossible for the belt to have broken while I was driving or while it was just sitting there. But none of the will put it in writing or agree to go to court. Is there any one here that would be willing to put their experience in writing and state this is impossibility?
BTW My car was not covered in Audi's campaign for the timing belt. They also agree with the professionals but will not put it in writing. (THIS IS FUN!!!---NOT!!!)[sm=outcold.gif]
