hi, I just wash the engine on my audi a4 model 1998 , 2.8 quattro V6 with 30V, automatic tip-tronic. the car was on detail shop. my problem is that when I change the gear on R it shows me on the dashboard that actually it's on N, and of course the car is not going backward . and after few hours another problem show up.... when i press the brake.... the right headlight comes on. have anybody any idea ??? thank you.

 

it sounds like a loose ground somewhere. My friend had a vw beatle a while back that was doing kinda the same thing and it endded up being a loose ground near the rear tail light. other than that man its gotta be a cross short somewhere. is that all that is happening?
