I want to build an intake so if any one has pics post them up please I want to get some ideas. If any one has a diy write up that would be awsome.

Not many people have custom intake setups unless its the air box mod or just a cone filter attatched to the MAF.

 

yeah, like 8tee said, most just have the airbox mod or a cone if anything. the stock airbox is very effecent and not all to much you can do to it. there have been a few threads about adding a second intake hose to the box and running it down to behind the foglight in the bumper, and i have a thread going right now talking about an intake through the hood into the airbox. If you have a B5 there are a number of aftermarket hoods that are vented and will allow you to easly pull air from the hood, B6 or B7 and your out of luck from the looks of it in that department.

But in my opinion your best bang for the buck would be a K&N freeflow filter to replace the stock filter. do the airbox mod if you want to try it, alot of people sware by it.
